Euthanasia for dementia must be made possible even when people are no longer mentally competent. This is stated in a plan by Minister of Justice Annelies Verlinden (CD&V) to expand the euthanasia law, according to CD&V chairman Sammy Mahdi on De Afspraak. People must, however, make their wishes clear in advance with an advance directive.
