Cazenovia school board member is accused of sending sexual messages to a child
State police say Travis Longo sent sexually explicit messages to a child under 12 and investigators found child pornography on his seized phone.
- On June 18, the New York State Police charged Cazenovia School Board Vice President Travis Longo with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child after he reportedly engaged in sexually explicit communication with a child under 12.
- Longo was elected to the Cazenovia School District Board of Education in 2024 with a term extending through June 2027; following the charges, Cazenovia Pride Inc. announced it is "cancelling this year's Pride Festival and all associated events" and dissolving.
- Superintendent Kevin Linck stated The District became aware of the arrest on June 19 and clarified Longo is not an employee; he remains prohibited from entering school grounds or attending district-sponsored events.
