NBA Star Donovan Mitchell Signs Multi-Year Extension With Adidas
The extension keeps Mitchell with Adidas and adds an education program for underserved students at his high school, ESPN reported.
On Thursday, Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell agreed to a multiyear contract extension with Adidas, becoming the seventh active NBA player to earn a 10th signature shoe with the same brand.
Mitchell first signed with Adidas before his 2017 rookie season, launching his debut signature sneaker in 2019 and building on his rapid ascension as a league star.
By reaching 10 signature shoes, Mitchell joins an elite group including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Damian Lillard, and Klay Thompson.
The extension strengthens Mitchell's commitment to his Spida Elite Camp while Adidas continues supporting Greenwich Country Day School, providing underserved students with educational resources.
Mitchell and the Cavs open the 2026-27 season on Oct. 22 against Philadelphia as title contenders after re-signing James Harden and acquiring Peyton Watson.
