Report: Cardinals Have "Movement" in Talks with WR Michael Wilson
Arizona has tried to extend Michael Wilson after his 1,006-yard season, but a deal is unlikely before Week 1, ESPN reported.
On Thursday, the Arizona Cardinals and wide receiver Michael Wilson agreed to a three-year contract extension, securing him through the 2029 campaign.
Wilson, 26, earned the extension after logging 78 receptions for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025, becoming the first Cardinals receiver to surpass 1,000 yards since 2020.
Spotrac projects Wilson's market value at a four-year, $73 million contract, below the Packers' four-year, $92 million deal for Christian Watson, though Watson is considered Green Bay's clear WR1.
Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort stated, "He's a guy that we want around here a long time," emphasizing the team's commitment to retaining its rising star.
Rewarding Wilson signals the Cardinals' commitment to their rebuild, providing a reliable young pass-catcher for the future franchise quarterback as Arizona aims to return to playoff contention.
