Currently in pre-trial detention, former trader Arnaud Mimran is due to be tried shortly in Paris for two organized gang murders, an attempted murder and an complicity in murder, which were committed between 2010 and 2014.
A central figure in the carbon quota scam, the famous con artist was sent back to the Paris assize court on Friday, 11 April, to answer for blood crimes committed between 2010 and 2014. Mediapart had access to the final report of the investigating judges.

After several lengthy investigations between 2021 and 2023, two specialized investigation judges in organized crime ordered on Friday the referral to the 53-year-old man's sitting court, behind bars since 2016.
The former 53-year-old trader was sentenced on appeal in 2017 for "scams of the century" in the CO2 emission quota market in 2008-2009. In 2022, he was also sentenced to thirteen years' imprisonment for kidnapping, sequestration and extortion suffered by a Swiss financier.
Figure of the "scam of the century" in the CO2 emissions quota market, the former golden boy will be tried for a series of violent deaths between 2010 and 2014, as well as for an attempted murder.
He is suspected, among other things, of having commissioned the murder of his former father-in-law, billionaire Claude Dray, and of having committed the organized gang murder of Samy Souied, another figure in the carbon tax scam.
