It has emerged that the FILO JET passenger ship, which capsized off the coast of Girne, killing 8 people, had another notable accident in its past. According to French Supreme Court records, the ship, operating under the name IRIS JET in 2003, struck a dock at Taşucu Port. It was determined that the ship continued its voyages without repairs after the accident, and days later it began taking on significant water damage.

Due to the ship accident off the coast of Girne, music and entertainment activities will be temporarily suspended as part of the mourning period declared. The ban will be in effect until Saturday morning, September 5th.
