- Sunday, troopers were called at 10:06 p.m. to a disturbance on Botsford Hollow Road in the town of Allen, where three brothers were staying at a hunting cabin.
- Police allege the killings occurred during a physical altercation inside the cabin, where Scot Thompson fatally shot Mark B. Thompson of Canterbury and David E. Thompson of Port Charlotte, Florida with a rifle.
- Officials have opened a criminal probe and scheduled autopsies for the victims at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, and the incident remains under criminal investigation.
- Allen is located about 70 miles southeast of Buffalo in Allegany County, about 60 miles south of Rochester and 90 miles west of Ithaca, and FOX61 News reported the incident.

A Florida man has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting and killing his brothers at an Upstate New York hunting cabin.Scot D. Thompson, 65, of Englewood, Fla., was arrested Monday on two counts of murder in the second degree and two counts of criminal use of a firearm in the first degree. Police said he got into a physical altercation with his brothers, one of whom called 911, that turned deadly around 10:06 p.m. on Sunday night.
