Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov might be an option in the playoffs after all. The team announced today that they’ve assigned the netminder to AHL Chicago for a conditioning stint. Kochetkov has been out since Dec. 20 after undergoing a lower-body surgery that was thought to be season-ending. He can now be in the minors for up to six days or three games, whichever comes first.
