Major UK Airport Issues Update as Software Changes Cause Disruption

On Friday night, November 28, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency instructed a precautionary software update for some Airbus A320 family aircraft after an alert raised by Airbus.
A JetBlue emergency landing after a reported `flight control issue` last month injured at least 15 passengers and involved a sudden altitude drop on the JetBlue A320 aircraft.

Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander said the impact should remain `limited` and thanked staff, while Wizz Air completed updates overnight and Jet2, British Airways, and Aer Lingus install targeted fixes.
