CRA to close drop box filing system once tax season ends
The Canada Revenue Agency will close all 45 tax drop boxes after the 2024-2025 tax season ends on May 28.
Usage of tax drop boxes declined by 78% over six years, with approximately 430,000 submissions in 2024-2025.
The Canada Revenue Agency cited processing delays and security concerns including break-ins and vandalism at drop box locations as reasons for closure.
After May 28, taxpayers must file taxes electronically, by mail, or in person at Canada Post locations.
The Canada Revenue Agency has announced that it will remove dozens of deposit boxes used for tax returns and payment across the country after the next reporting period.
There are still 45 of these boxes in service across the country. The post L的ARC will end the deposit box system for tax returns appeared first on Les Affaires.
