[Kadena Air Base] A Royal Canadian Air Force CP-140 patrol aircraft flew over the U.S. Kadena Air Base at around 12:55 p.m. on the 18th. The Ministry of Defense announced that the aircraft would be based at the base from mid-September to early October to monitor illegal maritime activities, including "ship-to-ship transfers," in which North Korean vessels transfer cargo from one ship to another at sea.
