US forces attacked Iranian rocket launchers in the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday, ending a month-long lull in the more than six-month-long war. Iran, which described the move as a deadly attack, warned of immediate retaliation. US Central Command spokesman Tim Hawkins said that Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps had been identified as preparing to launch rockets loaded with sea mines into the strait.
