With almost 44.7 million overnight stays in 2025, more people than ever before stayed at campsites in Germany, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) at the start of the camping season. This represents a 4.2% increase in overnight stays compared to 2024 (42.9 million) and a 24.9% increase compared to pre-pandemic levels (2019: 35.8 million).
