At the beginning of May, a video broadcast on social media showed a violently beaten man with whips in a Chinese supermarket. The company's CEO was interviewed and then released and several people accused in this case are under arrest. The Minister of Labour raided the field to appease the situation in front of demonstrators who report cases of ill-treatment.
Two former Chinese defence ministers have recently been sentenced to a suspended death for corruption, while at the same time a Chinese businessman, who owns a supermarket in Yaoundé, is threatened with punishment by the government for having dared to beat one of his employees who stole from his store. The employee was to choose his sanction: lock-up in a cell of the city's gendarmerie or beatings. He chose to be beaten (our photo).
