In the Bastide district, on the right bank of the city, a plot will bear the name of Marielle Franco, a politician and activist who was murdered in 2018 in Brazil.
The Chamber of Deputies approved this Monday (26) the bill that creates Marielle Franco Day – National Day of Human Rights Defenders. The date chosen is March 14, in memory of the murder of the PSOL councilwoman and her driver, Anderson Gomes, which occurred in 2018, in Rio de Janeiro.
