Caleb Wilson Makes Bold Prediction for Bulls Rookie Season in Video After 2026 NBA Draft
The No. 4 pick said his production and confidence make him a contender despite competition from the draft’s top three selections.
On Friday, Chicago Bulls forward Caleb Wilson announced his expectation to win Rookie of the Year during an introductory news conference at the United Center, three days after being selected fourth overall in Tuesday's NBA draft.
Washington Wizards forward AJ Dybantsa, Utah Jazz guard Darryn Peterson, and Memphis Grizzlies forward Cameron Boozer were selected before Wilson, yet he said "I don't really care about the media."
"I'm striving to be the best player to ever play the game," Wilson said, emphasizing the work he puts into his game drives his confidence in facing the top three picks.
Chicago's first three Las Vegas Summer League games begin July 10 against Memphis, Utah, and Washington, providing Wilson an immediate chance to prove he belongs alongside the draft's top selections.
The Bulls view Wilson as a potential leader during their roster rebuild, joining young teammates Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, Noe Essengue, and Rob Dillingham, all 24 or younger for the 2026-27 season.
