The government wants to make the rules for knowledge migrants stricter, so that the scheme is "more tailored to the talent that Dutch businesses need". As far as the government is concerned, knowledge migrants need a higher income to be able to come to the Netherlands. There will also be stricter rules for which companies are allowed to use knowledge migrants.
