CA leaders announced agreement on state budget framework

(BCN) -- Gov. Gavin Newsom and state legislative leaders announced an agreement Sunday on a state budget framework for the coming fiscal year, which begins Friday.According to Newsom, Senate President Toni Atkins, D-San Diego, and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, D-Lakewood, the budget framework includes a $17-billion funding package that will provide direct payments of up to $1,050 to taxpayers in an effort to reduce the burden of inflation.
