The TV spot uses a color-changing chameleon to highlight Tootsie Roll flavors beyond the original chocolatey variety.
On Monday, Tootsie Roll Industries released a new television spot featuring Mr. Owl alongside a color-changing chameleon to highlight the brand's diverse flavor lineup, marking the character's shift to enjoying a Tootsie Roll instead of his traditional Tootsie Pop.
Chicago-Based Schafer Condon Carter developed the animation, continuing the creative partnership that refreshed the 'How Many Licks' campaign in September 2025, as Tootsie Roll Industries has produced American candies for over 130 years.
"Bringing Mr. Owl into the work makes it feel both nostalgic and fresh," said Craig Miller, Chief Creative Officer at SCC, while Henry Mills, Chief Operating Officer at Tootsie Roll Industries, emphasized the campaign invites fans to explore flavors beyond the original.
The campaign launches across connected TV, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, complementing the recent retail debut of 'The Berry Ones' at select Walmart stores.
Additional plans for Mr. Owl are already on the horizon, marking this campaign as the beginning of the character's expanding role within Tootsie Roll Industries' broader product portfolio.
