- On Friday, April 24, 2026, two commuter buses collided near the Pentagon South Parking Lot around 7:20 a.m., injuring 23 people on the Metro Access Road.
- An OmniRide bus and a Fairfax Connector bus collided in a low-speed crash. The Pentagon Force Protection Agency is leading the investigation into the incident.
- Of the 23 injured, 18 passengers were taken to local hospitals for evaluation while five were treated at the scene and released. Ten of the injured are Department of Defense personnel.
- The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority diverted all bus traffic to Pentagon City Station during the Pentagon Transit Center closure. Commuters were asked to make alternative travel plans.
- Service to the Transit Center resumed around 11 a.m. after investigators cleared the scene. Arlington County Fire and Metro Transit Police assisted the PFPA in the response and investigation.
