A national conference was held on Tuesday, 11 November 2025 in Bujumbura to mark the 25th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on "Women, Peace and Security". Organized by the Ministry of Justice, Human Rights and Gender, with the support of the German Embassy and in partnership with UN Women, this meeting brought together many political, diplomatic and representatives of women's organizations.
