On Monday the tenth of November there were centenary celebrations since the birth of the world famous actor from Pont-rhyd-y-fen, Port Talbot, Richard Burton (1925–1984). To mark the occasion I watched Becket (1964), a film in which Mr Burton plays the medieval archbishop and martyr, Saint Thomas Becket (1119–70).
