A 33-year-old man was arrested after suspects smashed a jewellers' front window and stole numerous high-value watches during a daytime raid, police said.
- On Saturday, Gregor & Co. jewellers in Richmond was targeted in a daytime smash-and-grab, with officers called at 10:34hrs after the front window was broken.
- The raid is part of a wider pattern of luxury-store attacks across London, including a sledgehammer attack on Sultan Jewellers, Uxbridge Road on Thursday and over 70 watches stolen from 247 Kettles shop, Richmond last year.
- Two men appeared out of nowhere, smashing the shop's window with a large hammer while staff at the family-run jewellers struck a robber with a small box as onlookers filmed and shared footage on social media.
