Through a so-called "Love-Scam" a man from the Jennersdorf district lost over 100,000 euros. The 53-year-old had met a woman in December 2025 via a dating platform, which then repeatedly reported to him about financial emergencies. From May to September 2026 he made at least 18 transfers to domestic and foreign bank accounts, reported the state police department Burgenland on Wednesday.
