The European Commission will present in the second quarter of 2027 a proposal to simplify the procedures affecting both the construction of homes and the rehabilitation of existing ones. Brussels seeks to reduce the cost of the works and increase the number of houses available. The initiative is part of the European Affordable Housing Plan.
