Keeping Lincolnshire moving as winter sets in

As temperatures fall, Lincolnshire County Council has moved into full winter service mode, preparing its road network for ice and cold conditions. The county operates a fleet of 47 gritters covering a 5,500-mile road network. When road surface temperatures drop to around 0.5°C, crews are deployed to treat nearly 2,000 miles of priority routes.
