Bristol City Council expected to choose new member Tuesday
The Bristol City Council will choose among three women to fill an open council seat during its Tuesday night meeting. Six residents applied for the seat, and five turned up at the Feb. 10 meeting, when they were each asked six questions, including why they’re interested in serving. BVA City Council appoints new member
The Bristol, Virginia, City Council appointed a new member. They voted three to one to select Alex Littleton. The council chose from three finalists, Littleton, Jackie Nophlin, and Rebecca Reeves. The council individually interviewed the three candidates and then discussed their opinions. Vice Mayor Neal Osborne was the only opposing vote. Littleton’s grandfather previously served on the council, and as mayor in the 70s.
