Jockey Brian Hernandez Jr. was seriously injured in a fall Sunday at Churchill Downs. His wife, Jamie Hernandez, said in an X post Sunday evening that he was taken to University of Louisville Hospital and had seven broken ribs, a punctured lung, a lacerated liver that was repaired with a procedure, and bleeding that was being monitored.
