Inaugural Kyle Busch Invitational Carries on NASCAR Champion’s Mission
About 70 drivers are entered, and proceeds will benefit the Bundle of Joy Fund that has helped more than 100 babies be born.
On Friday, August 21, 2026, the racing community gathers at Bowman Gray Stadium in North Carolina for the first-ever Kyle Busch Invitational, honoring the late NASCAR champion who died in May.
Founded by Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha, the Bundle of Joy Fund assists families struggling with infertility, having donated about $2 million in grants to help more than 100 babies.
Racing legend Burt Myers and about 70 drivers will compete throughout the day, while Kyle's son, 11-year-old Brexton Busch, continues his father's legacy by racing in the Young Lions division.
NASCAR Mid-Atlantic Vice President Clay Campbell said the event helps families achieve the "dream of having a kid," with feature races scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. following pit gates opening at 10 a.m.
Storms are expected in the Triad area beginning early Friday afternoon, though Bowman Gray Stadium crews are preparing to manage conditions if the track gets wet during the inaugural event.
