Brewster American Legion hosts flag burning ceremony

BREWSTER — A ceremonial retirement of United States flags took place Sept. 8 in Brewster. An annual event, Brewster American Legion member Gerald McConkey estimated that somewhere between 350 to 400 flags were burned as part of the honorary ceremony that evening.
