The court in Belarus sentenced businessman Andrei Voronin to three years in absentia under an article on "Calls for the Taking of State"

The Brest Regional Court examined the criminal case against the businessman Andrei Voronin and sentenced him in absentia to three years' imprisonment and wrote the "Viasna" Human Rights Centre, and Voronin was found guilty of "public calls for the seizure of State power as well as other actions aimed at harming the national security of the Republic of Belarus" (article 3 (3) of the Criminal Code).

On February 28, 2025, the Brest Regional Court, within the framework of special jurisdiction, considered a criminal case against businessman Andrei Voronin, who has been in forced emigration for several years.
