Larry Fitzgerald Makes Hall of Fame in First Year of Eligibility

- Fitzgerald finished with 1,432 catches and 17,492 yards, while Brees was a 13-time Pro Bowl quarterback with five 5,000-yard seasons and led the league seven times.
- At least 11 of 50 voters opted against Bill Belichick, first-year eligible coach, while omissions included Robert Kraft, owner, reflecting recent rule changes tightening the Hall's selection process.
- Enshrinement is scheduled Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio, and Drew Brees was elected on the first ballot, showing immediate recognition this year.
