The former Minister of Construction and Investment announced the news on his social media page.
"We, who were the architects of this campaign, all bear responsibility for the defeat," writes the former minister, who is leaving parliament after 25 years. Of the three main faces of Fidesz's campaign, Orbán, Lázár and Szijjártó, none of them will now be members of parliament.
He does not want to participate in the absolute movie theater, and in addition, he believes that Fidesz needs renewal, "new direction and management."
The resignation of János Lázár from his parliamentary mandate was also discussed in Prime Minister Péter Magyar's speech on Thursday, which he delivered at the Tisza Islands meeting in Margaret Island. The Prime Minister also sent a message to his own political community in response to the news of his departure from the Fidesz faction.
