Brawl in Santa Martha Acatitla prison leaves three dead; director dismissed

Five prisoners killed another three after a fight in the Santa Martha Acatitla prison this Monday, May 15.

The Secretariat of Citizen Security reported that a group of 5 inmates beat 3 prisoners to death, in addition to pointing out that all those involved had prosecutions or sentences for the crime of homicide.

The events occurred at 5:10 p.m., in the Center located in the Iztapalapa mayor's office, when at least five people deprived of their liberty beat three more to the point of taking their lives, as reported in statements to various media outlets.
