At 1:00 p.m., the first case in the trial of Grzegorz Braun, concerning, among other things, the extinguishing of Hanukkah candles in the Sejm in December 2023, resumed after a break.
The first hearing in the case of Grzegorz Braun took place on Monday, accused of, among other things, extinguishing a Hanukkah candle in the Sejm (lower house of parliament) and violating the bodily integrity of several people. The politician pleaded not guilty, indicating that he acted in the interest of his countrymen. He had previously stated that the presiding judge was a neo-judge and requested his recusal.
