The decision made last week that Israel would be allowed to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna led to a heated debate on Tuesday evening during the "ZIB Talk" program on ORF 2. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is not actually designed to resolve such issues, emphasized ORF Program Director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz: "The EBU really reached its limits here." The speed of the debate overwhelmed everyone somewhat.
The broadcaster RTP should reconsider its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, demanding employees. A participation of Israel, contributes to the normalization of a state that is accused of war crimes.
