Bournemouth rise to second with victory over Fulham

Bournemouth extended their unbeaten run to six matches and moved to second in the Premier League after a 3-1 comeback win, with Antoine Semenyo scoring twice.

  • On Friday, Bournemouth came from behind to beat Fulham 3-1 at Vitality Stadium, moving the hosts into second place in the Premier League table.
  • Playing without a recognised striker, Fulham went ahead late in the second half as Ryan Sessegnon scored in the 70th minute after a one-two with Samuel Chukwueze, with Josh King used as a false nine.
  • Antoine Semenyo levelled in the 78th minute with a solo effort, Justin Kluivert then fired a long-range winner six minutes later, and Semenyo sealed victory in stoppage time from a Ben Gannon-Doak assist.
  • Victory took Bournemouth to 14 points from seven games, leaving them one behind Liverpool, and stretched their unbeaten run of six top-flight games while Fulham remain in 11th place on eight points.
  • Semenyo was named player of the match at rain-soaked Vitality Stadium and has 10 goal involvements in his last 13 Premier League games, telling Sky Sports `I think I just slow down things in my head`.
