Ukrainian writer, translator and musician Serhij Zhadan will receive the 2022 German Book Trade Peace Prize, as announced by the Board of Trustees on Monday in Frankfurt am Main. The author is honored “for his outstanding artistic work as well as for his humanitarian attitude, with which he turns to people in war and helps them with the commitment of his life,” the explanation stated.
