Bomb threat investigation at grocery store in Burke County
MORGANTON, N.C. – The Burke County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a bomb threat at a grocery store. The threat was reported at the Food Lion on Burkemont Avenue in Morganton on Tuesday, around 6:45 p.m. Food Lion management and other nearby businesses were evacuated. After no suspicious items were located, businesses were reopened. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact Morganton Public Safety.
