Hans Wilhelm Gäb coined the German sport with intellect, integrity and great visionary power. To the death of a sports functionary, as in this country unfortunately no second is in sight.

Grief for Hans Wilhelm Gäb: The Honorary President of the Table Tennis Federation and Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe died at the age of 89.

He shaped the German table tennis over decades like hardly any other, was finally appointed honorary president of the association. Hans Wilhelm Gäb has now died.

His sport was table tennis. But Hans Wilhelm Gäb worked far beyond that in German sport. Hardly anyone was more influential and longer than this multifunctional.
