Officials Give Update After Body of Missing Randolph County 7-Year-Old Found; 'Absolutely Devastated'

- King was reported missing on Sunday after he walked away from his home near Forest Hills Drive, Asheboro, North Carolina, last seen around 11 a.m.; officials said he was nonverbal and had cognitive impairments, which may have contributed to his leaving.
- Responders drained a pond, officials said, while Randolph County search teams used helicopters, airplanes, thermal imagery, and hundreds of volunteers during the two-day search.
- Sheriff Greg Seabolt, Randolph County said `I wish we had positive information to give you` and officials said foul play is not suspected while Liam's death remains an active investigation.
- The discovery was about a tenth of a mile from his home near Forest Hills Drive, Asheboro; officials urged anyone with information to call 911 and said the investigation could take several weeks.
