BNY Collaborates with Google Cloud to Advance Its Eliza AI Platform with Gemini Enterprise
BNY has deployed over 100 digital employees using Gemini 3 to automate more than 120 financial tasks, enhancing speed and accuracy in daily operations.
- On Monday, BNY said it will embed Google's Gemini 3 and Gemini Enterprise into Eliza, advancing agentic research and adding multimodal features for employees to load mixed financial materials.
- Aiming to automate data-heavy processes, the bank is deploying agentic AI to speed daily operations like client onboarding, following its accelerated generative AI build-out that began in 2023 and a partnership with OpenAI earlier this year.
- Eliza now supports more than 120 automated tasks, and BNY had 117 AI solutions in production by Q3 with over 100 digital employees alongside staff, while Gemini 3 enables synthesis of mixed financial materials.
- BNY requires each agent to pass an internal model-risk review and imposes tight access controls, monitors performance daily, while Google provides safety via "development kits" and "protocols," Rohit Bhat said.
- BNY's integration of Google's Gemini 3 positions it amid Wall Street's AI race, as firms like Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan adopt multi-vendor strategies, with over 90% of Fortune 100 companies served as of September 30, 2025.
