Blue green algae discovered at Pine Lake

Alberta Health Services issued a health advisory for Pine Lake on Aug. 13 due to the presence of blue-green algae. Pine Lake is located about 40km southeast of Red Deer. Residents living near the shores of this lake are encouraged not to swim or wade in any areas where cyanobacterial blooms are visible.
