Since August 10, Garcia de Orta Hospital does not guarantee IVG. Users are referred to private clinic in Lisbon. PCP questions Government.
ULS Amada-Seixal confirmed that it is not currently possible to guarantee a timely response to women who wish to proceed with an abortion, and has therefore established a protocol with another unit.
The blockers also intend that Ana Paula Martins clarify when it will be taken back to IVG in Garcia de Orta and what means the "shortness" that was used by the local health unit.
On Sunday, the committees of users of the councils of Almada and Seixal revealed that the IVGs were this week "decontinue" at Garcia de Orta Hospital, but the ULS assured that the time was set.
The Democratic Women's Movement (DMM) considers that the referral by the Almada women's hospital to a private clinic in Lisbon to "be able to exercise the right to voluntary interruption of pregnancy" is a way of emptying the law.
