A large fire broke out Saturday afternoon at JPB Logistics on Industriepark Farmsum in Delfzijl, prompting emergency services to escalate the response to GRIP-2, a coordination level that allows multiple agencies to manage large-scale incidents more effectively, Rijnmond reports. The blaze quickly became intense, with black smoke visible above the facility and moving toward nearby Woldendorp.
A very large fire raged for some time at a company on an industrial estate in Farmsum, Groningen, the safety region reports. Due to the smoke, an NL-Alert has been issued.
