Bitmine adds 12,535 ETH as Ethereum price stays below $2,500
Tom Lee said Bitmine has bought ETH every week since June 2025 as the company nears its goal of owning 5% of supply.
On Monday, Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced it acquired 12,535 ETH, raising total holdings to 6,041,481 ETH, representing approximately 4.9% of Ethereum's 122.1 million supply.
Bitmine has purchased Ethereum every week since June 30, 2025, as part of its 'Alchemy of 5%' initiative; Chairman Tom Lee said the company is approximately 99% toward its goal.
As of Sunday, the company's combined crypto, cash, and 'moonshot' investments totaled $15.1 billion, including $582 million in cash and strategic stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings.
Chairman Lee said investor risk appetite 'contracted in the past few weeks' amid rising bond yields and geopolitical tensions. De-risking in Korea and Taiwan creates spillover pressures for crypto valuations.
Annualized staking rewards could reach $369 million if Bitmine fully deploys its Made in America Validator Network infrastructure. The firm continues developing this platform to support institutional clients and long-term asset accumulation.
Bitmine maintains its weekly purchase routine. However, looking at the balance sheet shows that purchases no longer absorb the price drop. Source: BTC-ECHO BTC-ECHO
