Thirty years in the making, the Lost Valley Trail on Bainbridge Island, a nearly seven-mile trek that includes a mile-long section that connects the Head of the Bay with Fletcher Bay Road, was opened to the public Oct. 1. The trail, which includes 200 feet of boardwalk and protects the Cooper Creek watershed to ensure all-season access, is now the longest on the island and brings BI’s total miles of trails to 50.
