Bird Flu Suspected at Hokkaido Poultry Farm (Kyodo News)

Hokkaido announced on the 2nd that a suspected case of highly pathogenic avian influenza was discovered through a simple test at a poultry farm in Eniwa City. If the case is confirmed as positive through a genetic test, this would be the second case in Japan to occur at a poultry farm this season, following one in Shiraoi Town, Hokkaido.
