- On Sunday, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged protesters in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to end demonstrations peacefully, warning that ongoing unrest provides an "unnecessary opportunity" for hostile elements to exploit.
- Following deadly clashes in Rawalakot where police reported four personnel killed and more than 20 injured, the AJK government declared the Joint Awami Action Committee a proscribed organization under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
- Protesters demanded abolition of 12 assembly seats reserved for Kashmiri refugees who migrated after 1947, a lopsided arrangement critics call unfair; Bilawal stressed that "12 migrant seats are not more valuable than human lives."
- The PPP chairman called on the Election Commission to withdraw its "premature election schedule," committing the party to establishing a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to address grievances and achieve a "just and lasting conclusion."
- Bilawal urged those who took the law into their own hands to surrender, emphasizing that grievances must be resolved through "democratic, constitutional and peaceful means" rather than street agitation, as Parliament remains the appropriate forum.
