Big Fire in Oldenburg: Explosions and Hundreds of Cars in Flames

In one of the heaviest fires in the district of Oldenburg a recycling yard has been largely destroyed. 320 firefighters were in use overnight, they also tore the residents out of their sleep.

Fires occur every day in the waste and recycling industry. Missorted batteries are among the most common causes, posing a real risk to both employees and waste facilities.

A large fire in Munderloh in the municipality of Hatten (Landkreis Oldenburg) ensures a closure on the A28 between Oldenburg and Bremen. It burns on a recycling yard near the motorway.
